Photo: Neidpath Castle

This post is for Tuesday, 27th January 2009.
This week’s photo is of Neidpath Castle, situated near Peebles in Scotland. It was take in November 2007, a couple of days before my sister’s wedding which took place within the castle featured in the photo.
The reasons why I like this photo? Two main reasons really,
Firstly it brings back fantastic memories of the wedding that took place up there. It was as perfect as you could possibly get it.
Secondly, I think the colours in this photo are fantastic – it amazes me how many different colours there are it how great it looks.
We had this photo converted into a print for my Dad (who took this photo) and it looks fantastic in a dark wood frame, printed in the style of a painting.
The river in the photo is the River Tweed. The castle itself is open to the public and does carry out functions such as weddings. More about Neidpath Castle can be found on its’ Wikipedia Article.
You are able to go up to the top floor of the castle , which allows you to look out onto fantastic views such as this (sorry taken with my camera phone):
